Henri Felix Paquotte

PAQUOTTE, Henri Felix Born 1857, d. after 1925 Paris France. Son, pupil, and successor of Jean Baptiste Paquotte, below. Worked with his brother Placide, below, as Paquotte Frères. Awarded bronze medal at the Paris exhibition of 1900. Succeeded by his son Albert Paquotte. Fine and accurate workmanship on classical models. Sohn von Joh. Bapt. Paqu. und dessen Schüler. 1888 übernahm er in Gemeinschaft
mit seinem Bruder das väterliche Geschäft, das er mit Erfolg fortführt.
Er ist auch ein tüchtiger Geiger und hat von 1873—78 als Schüler Sauzay’s
das Conservatorium absolvirt. Auf der Pariser Welt-Ausstellung 1900 war er sehr gut
vertreten.

b. March 11, 1857, and Placide, b. 1864 ; d. 1900. Sons of J. B. Paquotte, to whose business they succeeded in July, 1888, at 99, Faubourg Saint-Germain, Paris. They were awarded a bronze medal at the 1889 Exhibition for the beautiful tone of their violins, but they chiefly worked at repairing old instruments. Henri was also a violin player, and was in Sauzay’s class at the Paris Conservatoire, 1873-78.
