A maker in Nuremberg. Exhibited at Münich, in 1854, a violin of good though rather coarse tone, which would improve with time

Da er nicht allzu viel neue Geigen machte und seine meiste Zeit auf die Wiederherstellung alter Geigen verwendete, hatte er keinen besonderen Ruf, war aber recht geschickt und hat schon 1854 mit Erfolg ausgestellt. Seine beste Zeit fällt in die Jahre 1860—1870.
