ROST, Franz Georg Born 1869 Jöhstadt Germany, d.c.1960 London UK. Apprenticed to August Voigt in Markneukirchen 1883-1886. Worked for Paulus in Leipzig, Hammig in Dresden, Louis Otto in Düsseldorf, Laumann in Budapest, and Zimmermann in Leipzig. Established own workshop in London 1903-1922, before moving to New York to work for Wurlitzer 1923-1928, living in Astoria, Long Island. Returned to London in 1928, working in Lexington Street.
