RUDERT, Henryk Born before 1810, died 1888 Warsaw Poland. Son of Jan Rudert, below. Trained musician at the Warsaw conservatoire. Took over the workshop of Kanigowski. Very fine maker. Excellent Stradivari copies with orange-brown varnish; also made some precise copies of Groblicz. Exhibited in Warsaw 1856, 1857, and 1888. Awarded gold medal 1857. Guitars also recorded.
