Er galt seiner Zeit als ein geschickter Geigenmacher und Reparateur, doch kommen Arbeiten von ihm ziemlich selten vor. In der Ausstellung, auf die er sich mit seinem Zettel beruft, war er mit einem Violoncell und drei Geigen vertreten, von denen eine mit Buchsbaum und Ebenholz eingelegt war. Er wohnte 1839 Landstrasse No. 102 und 1856 auf der Wieden No. 767.
