Several addresses known: Pont du Corbeau, Place du Temple Neuf, and Quai Saint-Nicholas. A general music business handling all instruments: there are several harps and keyboards with his name. Also worked under his brother’s label. Several good violins recorded, a few violas, but no cellos. Dark brown or clear golden-yellow varnish. Some splendid violas known. Wohl ein Enkel Johann Valentin St ‘s. Er hatte das Ladenschild »Au concert de cigognes« und wohnte bei der Rabenbrücke. Er nannte sich »facteur d’instruments de musique« und veröffentlichte 1784 ein Preisverzeichniss, das jetzt als ein werthvolles Document für die damaligen Preise der Musikinstrumente gelten darf. Er wurde 1766 in die Zunft aufgenommen und gehörte ihr bis 1785 an.
