Vielleicht ein Sohn von Simon Str., der Arbeit nach aber jedenfalls dessen Schüler. Er war nicht ungeschickt, wenn er auch nur handwerksmässig arbeitete. Er ist wahrscheinlich identisch mit einem »Martin« Straub, von dem es Geigen geben soll, der sich in den Kirchenbüchern aber nicht vorfindet.
