Worked for Z. J. Metelky in Paseky until the latter’s death in 1880, but remained in that workshop under F. Vitacka. Subsequently moved to J. VLK, Frantisek Born 1865 Paseky, died 1887 Cesky Sumburk Czech Republic. Worked for Z. J. Metelky in Paseky until the latter’s death in 1880, but remained in that workshop under F. Vitacka. Subsequently moved to J. Cermak in Cesky Sumburk where he worked until he died by his own hand aged only 22. Good professional work on classical models. Some instruments labelled by Metelky and Cermak have Vlk’s signature internally on the belly. [Pilar]
