William Meredith Morris+
A Presbyterian minister who has made several violins of excellent workmanship and tone. I cannot say that I like his model, but no fault can be found with any other part of the work. I have seen only one of his instruments — the library walls of South Yell manse are lined with them — which had a peculiar outline, but a very sweet and moderately powerful tone.
