Er stammt wie Georg Wörle (Vörle) aus Vils. Er heirathete am 3. Mai 1676 Ursula Schnitzler von Augsburg und wird im Hochzeitsprotokoll ausdrücklich als Lautenmacher bezeichnet. Dass er vor 1695 schon gestorben sein muss, geht daraus hervor, dass in diesem Jahre am 13. Februar seine Wittwe den Geigenmacher Gg. Aman heirathete. Eine Pochette von ihm ist in Berlin aus der Sammlung Snoeck (No. 429).
