Trained at the Mittenwald Violin Making School 1889-1892. Worked in Karlsruhe, Würzburg, Coblenz, and Munich. Returned to Mittenwald 1901. Teacher at the violin making school 1910-1914. Awarded medals at Nuremberg 1906 and Munich 1927. Accurate copies of classical models. Also maker of plucked instr\u{2026} — John Dilworth
