Worked also in Weymouth, Pennsylvania c.1876. According to the numbering of his labels made over 500 instruments. Stradivari and Amati models; also a personal model of broad pattern with long corners. Various varnishes, sometimes shaded red to golden brown. Used American timbers. Branded on button (with purfling stopped either side of the brand): ‘C. Baker’ [Wenberg]
