Johann Nepomuk Bina (1826-1897) was a Prague-based luthier, active from 1853. A pupil of F. Lehner, he gained experience across Austria and Hungary before establishing his own workshop. His instruments, typical of the Prague school, were considered good professional work, featuring large soundholes and classical models like Stradivari and Amati, as well as unique double basses. He was also a sworn expert for violins from 1864.

Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Sohn eines Musikers und Schneidermeisters, Schüler von Franz Lehner,
bei dem er auch nach seiner vierjährigen Lehrzeit noch bis 1849 blieb. Später
arbeitete er bei Joh. Stoss, J. Hamberger in Pressburg, F. A. Patzelt in Budapest,
Ant. Hoffmann in Wien und machte sich 1853 in Prag selbstständig. Seit 1864
war er beeideter Sachverständiger für Geigen. Er wohnte im Laufe der Jahre
Neustadt No. 793, 802, 52, 835, 825, 788, 834, von 1878-94 Wenzelsplatz
(Václavské nám?sti) No. 841 und zuletzt »in der Grube« (V Jám?) No. 697. Inseiner Arbeit ist er ein charakteristischer Vertreter der Prager Schule, wenn auch
nur ein Meister zweiten Ranges.
