BISIACH, Andrea Born 1890, died 1967 Milan Italy. Son of Leandro Bisiach, below. Worked extensively with him, and his brothers Giacomo and Leandro jr., below. Apprenticed initially in Mirecourt with Mougenot. One of the finest makers and experts of his generation. Travelled widely, learning and promoting the work of his family, working for Lyon & Healey in Chicago and Rudolph Wurlitzer in Cincinnati 1912-1914. Occupied on military service 1914-1916, returning to work with his father in Milan. Established independently there from 1929. His great reputation as a connoisseur left little time for making, and his instruments are relatively rare. Classical models. Accurate workmanship and fine finish, with golden red-orange varnish. Andrea Bisiach Milanese / Fece Anno 19.. [Blot II]
