John Dilworth
BISIACH, Giacomo Born 1900 Milan, died 1995 Venegono Superiore Italy. Cellist and luthier. Son and pupil of Leandro Bisiach (I), below, and assistant to his brothers Carlo and Leandro jr. Active in Siena from 1918. Pupil with his brother Leandro (II), below, of I. Sderci. Remained a partner of Leandro (II) throughout his career, mainly responsible for varnishing, expert repair, and restoration work in their shared business. Cellist and juror at several international violin making competitions. Classical models; especially known for copies of Guarneri and Guadagnini.
