John Dilworth
BOOTH, William (II) Born 1816, died 1856 Leeds UK. Son and pupil of William Booth (I), above. Stradivari model; generally considered a superior craftsman to his father. Finely detailed and covered with rich golden-brown varnish. Wm. Booth. Maker / Leeds, 1853
William Meredith Morris
He was the son of the above, and an excellent workman. He died on June 1, 1856, and was buried at Burmantofts Cemetery. I have seen only one of his instruments, which was on a modified Strad pattern, rather highly arched, golden brown varnish; tone somewhat small but sweet.
Cecie Stainer
Son of W. Booth, senior, b. 1816, Leeds; d. June 1, 1856; buried at Burmantofts Cemetery. Employed by Henri Gugel, 1834-38. Returned to Leeds (1838) and began business as an instrument maker. He was a clever workman.
Willibald Leo Lütgendorff
Sohn von Will.
