Er war eigentlich kein Geigenmacher, sondern Tischler. Ob er neue Geigen
gebaut hat, ist nicht bekannt, wohl aber war er als Reparateur viel beschäftigt,
da zu seiner Zeit kein Geigenmacher in Salzburg ansässig war. Eines der Instrumente
im städtischen Museum Carolino-Augusteum in Salzburg trägt einen
Reparaturzettel von ihm aus dem Jahre 1824.
