DAHL, Matthias M. Born 1888 Norway, died 1973 Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. Pupil of H. P. Blakkestead in Minneapolis, succeeding to the business in 1920. Later associated with Olaf Urdahl. First prize at Minnesota Competition 1958. Stradivari model. Very fine workmanship with deep red varnish. Completed 395 violins, 15 violas, and seven cellos. Matthias M. Dahl / Minneapolis.
