Er lernte in Paris und liess sich 1731 in Rouen nieder, wo er in allerlei
Zunftstreitigkeiten verwickelt wurde. Man wollte ihm u. A. nicht gestatten,
dass er sich auf dem Schild über seinem Schaufenster einen Meister von Paris
nenne u. s. w. Schliesslich setzte er seine Aufnahme in die Zunft dennoch durch;
er berief sich dabei auf ein»Brevet de Monseigneur de Luxembourg«. Seine Violinen sind nicht übel im Aussehen und in der Arbeit.
