Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Zuerst kam er bei dem Klaviermacher Karl Schmidlin in die Lehre; später
ging er zu G. Tiefenbrunner nach München und zu Kriner nach Landshut und
erlernte bei diesen Zithern- und Geigenmachen. Nach 10 Wanderjahren liess
er sich 1879 in seinem Geburtsort nieder und verlegte seine Werkstatt später
nach Sebnitz. Seine Geigen macht er nach einem eigenen Modell, das ihm in der
unteren Hälfte mehr Resonanzfläche darbietet, doch ist die Form so ungewöhnlich,
dass bei aller Anerkennung des Tonwertes die Musiker seine Geigen nicht gerne spielen. Da er fortwährend neue Versuche macht, ist vielleicht noch etwas von ihm zu erwarten.
