Niederheitmann besass eine kleine Violine, die nach seiner Beschreibung in
ihrer Wölbung und den F-Löchern an Andreas Amati erinnerte. Das Holz
soll gut, der Lack braun und der Boden mit einer verzierten Einlage versehen
gewesen sein. Die Jahreszahl zweifelte Niederheitmann selbst an, er scheint
aber auch den ganzen Zettel falsch gelesen zu haben, der bei ihm lautet:
