Instruments branded and signed ‘à Paris’, but this was a fiction common amongst Mirecourt makers. His shop was known as ‘A la Ville de Padoue’. Slender model with flat arch and oversized scroll. schlank, die Wölbung flach, die Zargen hoch, die Schnecke sehr gross, die
F-Löcher langgestreckt und wenig geschweift; der Einschnitt in den F-Löchern
für den Stegpunkt ist sehr schief. Das Holz der Oberdecke ist stark und schön;
die Jahre stehen gleichmässig einen Millimeter von einander ab. Der Lack ist
dunkel gelbbraun, die Einlagen sind fein mit breitem Rand, der Ton weich und
angenehm. Eine Violine von ihm besitzt J. Hirschler in Unter-Aegeri.
