Die Lauten, die mit seinem Namen vorkommen, sind wohl in seiner Werkstatt
gemacht, aber schwerlich Werke seiner Hand, da er »facteur de Clavecins«
war. Dass er aber alle Sorten von Saiteninstrumenten fertigen liess, das beweist
u. A. das Schreiben seiner Wittwe (von 1763), in dem es heisst: »Nous avons
eu de tout tes et nous y avons encore des ouvriers en toutes sortes d’instruments«.
