In einer leidlich gut gemachten Geige fand sich sein Name. Er war wohl nur ein Dilettant und nur vorübergehend in Elberfeld ansässig. Sein Name kommt weder in den Elberfelder Geburts- und Sterbe- noch in den Heimathsregistern von 1810—1832 vor. Auch alle anderen Nachforschungen nach ihm waren vergeblich.
