Er hatte im Hause Landstrasse No. 23, auch No. 34 und 17 seine Werkstatt
und war ein alter Junggeselle mit allerlei Schrullen und Eigentümlichkeiten.
Er fertigte viele billige Geigen an, mit denen er seinen Lebensunterhalt
verdienen musste, aber er war ein sorgsamer Reparateur und hat auch einige
sehr gute Instrumente gebaut, mit denen er beweisen wollte, was er konnte.
