Markneukirchen, 1872–1961
Worked in Leipzig for Franz Glass and in Aachen for Holm Viertel before emigrating to Philadelphia in 1893. Worked there with Arnold Voigt, afterwards established independently 1894-1950. Fine workmanship; over 50 Stradivari model violins made. Bows branded with his name were the work of his assista\u{2026} — John Dilworth

Julius, Born 1872 Markneukirchen Germany, died 1961 Philadelphia USA. Worked in Leipzig for Franz Glass and in Aachen for Holm Viertel before emigrating to Philadelphia in 1893.
