Worked in Leipzig for Franz Glass and in Aachen for Holm Viertel before emigrating to Philadelphia in 1893. Worked there with Arnold Voigt, afterwards established independently 1894-1950. Fine workmanship; over 50 Stradivari model violins made. Bows branded with his name were the work of his assista\u{2026} — John Dilworth

Julius, Born 1872 Markneukirchen Germany, died 1961 Philadelphia USA. Worked in Leipzig for Franz Glass and in Aachen for Holm Viertel before emigrating to Philadelphia in 1893. Worked there with Arnold Voigt, afterwards established independently 1894-1950. Fine workmanship; over 50 Stradivari model violins made.
