A maker in Eisenach in the 18th century. He made very good instruments, not much arched, used beautiful wood, and an amber-coloured varnish; his imitations of Italian instruments were excellent.

«). Auch er ward fürstl. Hoftrompeter und war einer der bekanntesten
Geigenmacher seiner Zeit. Er ahmte die hohe Wölbung Stainers nach und
verarbeitete gutes Holz, doch haben seine Geigen nur kleinen, spitzen Ton.
