HOMOLKA, Johann Stephan Born 1800, died 1883 Prague Czech Republic. Brother of Ferdinand Joseph Homolka (I), above. Musician and violin maker. Pupil of J. B. Stoss. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Bruder von Ferd. Jos. H. Schüler von Joh. Stoss, arbeitete eine Zeit lang
bei M.Weber und machte sich dann in Prag, Altstadt, Havelska ul. No. 521; selbstständig,
1861 wohnte er Neustadt, Školská ul. 693, dann Vodi?ková ul. 703 und
Ve Sm?ckách No. 598. Im. Jahre 1863 siedelte er nach Kuttenberg über, um
die Werkstatt nach seinem Neffen Ferd. Jos. zu übernehmen. In Prag war er
kürzere Zeit Geschäftstheilhaber bei Ferd. Aug. H. Er war ausübender Musiker,
als Geigenbauer aber wohl der Unbedeutendste der Familie, wie er sich selbst
nicht mit Unrecht nannte. Er machte auch Guitarren.
