Son and pupil of Anton Hornsteiner, above. Active in Seefeld from 1807 and Volderwald c.1835. Amatisé outline with Klotz-style arching; some later work with more appropriate improved arch known as ‘Kreuzhäusel-violins’. Rather ugly scroll with large eye. Thin yellow varnish.
