John Dilworth
JACQUET, Gabriel Born 1848, died 1899 Mirecourt France. Son and pupil of Joseph Jacquet, below. Known as ‘Jacquet Gand’ as the son-in-law of C. A. Gand. Personal models with flat arching and dull yellow varnish. Specialist double bass maker. Some cellos with double purfling also recorded. Usually branded with his name.
