Seine Geigen sind gut im Ton; zu Boden und Schnecke nahm er meist
Buchen- und Birnbaumholz. Er wohnte Haus No. 31 in der Ramsau und wird
in den Kirchenbüchern stets als Geigenmacher bezeichnet. Auch sein Sohn und
seine Enkel machten noch Geigen, aber ohne jeglichen Kunstwerth, zuletzt nur
noch roth angestrichene Kindergeigen.
