Er war der Sohn eines Organisten und Lehrers, war selbst über 30 Jahre
Cantor an der evangelischen Kirche in Bernstadt i. Schl. und beschäftigte sich
aus Liebhaberei mit dem Geigenmachen. Er machte ganz leidliche, flach gewölbte
Geigen. Um 1860 lebte er in Breslau. Er besass mehrere Medaillen
und Diplome, die er für seine Geigen erhalten hatte.
