Er kam um 1810 nach Schweidnitz und trat in Arbeit bei der Wittwe
des Instrumentenmachers Fiebig, die er 1812 heirathete. Im selben Jahre am
19. September erwarb er das Bürgerrecht in Schweidnitz. Wann und wo er
gestorben ist, liess sich nicht feststellen. Seine Geigen sind leidlich gut. Seine Modelle haben keinen bestimmten Charakter.
