An Italian maker who was working in Paris, 1745-53 at the sign of ” La ville de Cremone ” in the rue des Saints-Peres. He followed the pattern of Andrea Amati, using spirit varnish ; his instruments were much liked.

Ein in Paris ansässiger Italiener. Da er das Ladenschild »à la ville de
Cremona« führte, haben Manche, wohl sehr mit Unrecht, angenommen, dass er
aus Cremona stammte. Er arbeitete nach Amati und hatte ein breites Modell.
Sein Holz ist mittelmässig, der Boden nach der Schwarte geschnitten, der
Lack gelbbraun, aber werthlos. Er wohnte in der Rue des Saints Pères (Faubourg St. Germain).
