Es giebt zwar Geigen mit seinem Zettel, doch ist in Cortona ein Geigenmacher
Namens Mancini nicht nachzuweisen. Zur angegebenen Zeit soll sich
allerdings ein Giuseppe Mancini, der einen umfangreichen Band lyrischer Gedichte
herausgegeben hat (Siena bei Pandolfo Rossi, 1835), in Cortona aufgehalten
haben, er war aber — Erzbischof von Siena, und es ist daher nicht gut anzunehmen,
dass er auch Musse zum Geigenmachen hatte.
