Pupil of Giuseppe Sgarbi from 1893. Worked for Fiorini in Munich before returning to Modena. Awarded many medals and honours in Milan, Paris, Turin, St Louis (USA), and Geneva. MESSORI, Pietro Born 1870, died 1952 Modena Italy. Pupil of Giuseppe Sgarbi from 1893. Worked for Fiorini in Munich before returning to Modena. Awarded many medals and honours in Milan, Paris, Turin, St Louis (USA), and Geneva. Stradivari, Guarneri, and Amati models. Good workmanship. Red to golden-yellow amber varnish. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Ein talentvoller Geigen-, Guitarren- und Mandolinenmacher, der nach beendeter
Lehrzeit in Mailand, Turin und Paris gearbeitet hat und 1894 der Nachfolger Giuseppe Sgarbi’s wurde. Er macht Copien nach Stradivari, Guarneri und Amati und verwendet meist Bernsteinlack von rother, röthlichgelber und gelber Farbe. Er macht auch Harfen und Klaviere. Bis 1900 besass er bereits acht Bronce-, Silber- und Gold – Medaillen von Turin, Nizza und Paris etc.
