MOLLENHAUER, Eduard R. Born 1827 Erfurt, Saxony Germany, died 1914 New York USA. Violinist, emigrated to New York 1854 and established a Violin Academy. Devised an ‘improved’ violin in 1881 with the interior divided into two separate chambers. Needless to say, this was unsuccessful. — John Dilworth
