Established in Markneukirchen he was known as ‘Pester’ (the man from Pest), or ‘the older Pester’ to differentiate him from his son, Adolf Richard, above. Ernst Richard Born 1850, died 1928. Brother and pupil of Adolf Mönnig, above. Worked for Anton Stitt in Prague and Bausch in Leipzig. Established in Markneukirchen he was known as ‘Pester’ (the man from Pest), or ‘the older Pester’ to differentiate him from his son, Adolf Richard, above. The name ‘Pester’ is inscribed on the back button of his instruments. Fine work in the family tradition on Cremonese and Maggini models in appropriate varnish colours.
