Mathias (IV) Worked from c.1795. Spent some time working throughout Europe, returning to Mittenwald to establish a partnership with Cantius Hornsteiner who had been active there from 1755. From c.1800 the company Neuner & Hornsteiner has been an important part of the violin making trade. Instruments are generally of very good quality but inconsistent.
