Johann Gottfried Born circa. 1730. Son of Johann Elias Pfretzschner (I), above. Admitted to the Markneukirchen guild of luthiers 1751. Sohn von Johann Elias I. Pfr. Auch er pflegte »Cremona« als Ursprungsort
anzugeben. Er scheint talentvoll gewesen zu sein und hat wahrscheinlich
italienische Geigen gekannt, doch starb er schon im Alter von 38 Jahren und
35 Tagen. Seinen Namen schreibt er manchmal einfach »Pfretschner«.
