AAGAARD, Larsen Born 1847, died 1912 Copenhagen Denmark. Pupil of H. Hertz 1866. Emigrated to Chicago in 1876 to work for Lyon & Healy and later Francesco Christofori in Chicago. Returned to Copenhagen 1883. Cremonese-derived models, but poor varnish. Primarily occupied with repair and restoration.
Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Geb. 9. Juli 1847 in einem dänischen Dorfe, kam 1862 in die Maschinenbaulehre
und wurde in der Modellwerkstatt verwendet. Sein Meister Heinrich
Hertz war gelernter Musikinstrumentenmacher, unter dessen Leitung Aagard
1866 zum Geigenbau überging. 1876 siedelte er nach Amerika über, arbeitete
in vielen bedeutenden Geigengeschäften, so bei Lyon und Healy, dann bei
F. Cristofori in Chicago, und kehrte 1883 nach Kopenhagen zurück, wo er seine
eigene Werkstatt eröffnete und Anerkennung fand.
