John Dilworth+
AIRTH, William Worked circa. 1860-1881 Edinburgh UK & Australia. Emigrated to Australia 1881. Pupil and son-in-law of James Hardie. Rather second-rate maker in the Hardie style, using commercial amber varnish. Small production.
William Meredith Morris+
He emigrated in that year to Australia, where he has remained since, only occasionally making violins. His instruments are on the lines of Stradivari, but considerably modified. Fair workmanship and average tone.
