John Dilworth

ALBANI, Joseph (I) Born 1680, died 1722 Bolzano Italy. Son and assistant of Matthias (II). Much of his efforts were probably expended in his father’s workshop, but also worked with his brother Johann Michael in Graz, c.1708-1712. His own work dates from 1704, but is rare. Fine Amati-like model with rich, red-brown varnish. Josephus filius Matth. Albani / me fecit, Bulsani in Tyroli / Anno. 1719
