John Dilworth
ANGARD, Maxime Born 1849 Arronville, Seine-et-Oise, died 1912 Paris France. Professionally active from 1890. Established at 23 Passage Delaruelle, Paris and later at 82 rue Liebnitz. Innovative work. One violin made from oak. Invented a new peg system called ‘La Sécurité’. Own made varnish. Assisted by noted player Maurice Hayot in regulating instruments. First prize for tone in Paris 1912.
