Small pointed corners. Slender oval scroll, deeply undercut. Dark golden-brown varnish. Italianised his name on labels, and mischievously gave Cremona as his origin on some; hence the fictitious ‘Hieronymus Antonij’ who appears in several dictionaries as a Cremonese maker of the 18th century.
