John Dilworth
BAUSCH, Josef Born 1880, Worked 1921-1928 Schwerin, Bad Doberan & Rostock Germany. Trained at Markneukirchen. Worked in Schwerin 1921, Bad Doberan 1926, and Rostock 1928. Another claimant to the discovery of Stradivari’s ‘secret’. Published theories for graduating and shaping the plates, and describing the qualities of his varnish.
