BERETTA, Felice Worked circa. 1760-1790 Como Italy Pupil of Giuseppe Guadagnini. Flattish modelling, rather indifferent workmanship. Very much in the Guadagnini style, although head slightly clumsy. Poor quality wood often used, probably not well-seasoned to judge from evident distortions in some cases. Golden-yellow varnish a little thin. Felice Beretta / allievo di Giuseppe Guadagnini / fece in Como d’Anno 1782
