BINDERNAGEL, Johann Wilhelm Born 1770, died 1845 Remstadt, Thuringia Germany. Originally a carpenter, apprenticed to F. A. Ernst. Professional work in the style of Ernst, usually Amati but sometimes Stradivari models. Made guitars after J. A. Otto of Weimar; also harps and other stringed instruments.
