A maker in Vienna, d. 1887. He did a large trade in America. Exhibited a violin and violoncello in London 1862.

Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Einer der besseren Wiener Geigenmacher aus der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Er studirte die Italiener mit Erfolg, besass selbst eine auserlesene
Sammlung echter italienischer Geigen und copirte mit grosser Treue. 1873 erhielt
er eine Verdienst-Medaille. Ausser Violinen baute er auch alle anderen
Geigen, selbst noch eine Viola d’ amore und Zithern. Eine Streichzither von ihm
bewahrt die Sammlung des Brüsseler Conservatoriums. Seine Frau Marie war
eine Zitherlehrerin. Das Geschäft wurde eine Zeit lang von Th. Bittner fortgesetzt.
