Er stammt vielleicht aus Mittenwald und ist bis jetzt nur durch
eine sehr niedliche Pochette mit Ebenholz- und Elfenbein-Einlegearbeit,
die sich in Berlin in der kgl. Sammlung alter Musikinstrumente
(No. 781) befindet, bekannt. Der Körper besteht aus
neun Spähnen mit Elfenbeinrippen; C-Löcher. In Frankfurt lebte
1662 ein Krämer Johann Adolf Boiler, der als »Bürgerssohn« bezeichnet
wird. Er dürfte der Sohn unseres Lautenmachers gewesen
sein.
